Woodfield Waves: Get ready (and be optimistic) for 2020!
Hello Woodfield swim families! Bringing you a piece of what I hope will turn out to be good news: we are gearing up for the 2020 swim season, and we hope you'll be back to join us for another great year.
Obviously, the current coronavirus situation has thrown everything in our lives into flux. But swim practices don't begin until mid-May and meets don't start until late May, so for now we're proceeding as if we'll be back to normal, under guidance from the Atlanta Swim Association. We'll update you as soon as we have info.
Some initial news:
-This email's coming from Jay Busbee -- I'm the guy with the mic and the music during meets, and along with several others, we're taking the reins of the team this year. You can reach me with any questions by replying to this email, hitting me at [email protected], or finding me around the pool during swim season. Thanks once again to Crystal Pelkey for handling so much the last couple years.
-Registration will open this week; we'll provide all info on that once it's ready to go.
-We have scheduled a swimsuit fitting on Saturday, March 28 at the Woodfield clubhouse from 1-3, but that, like so much else right now, is subject to change.
Much more to come from us; best wishes to all of you. Stay safe and we'll see you around the pool soon ...
Jay Busbee
