Volunteer sign-up time
Hello Woodfield parents ...
It's time. I'm coming for you. Time to volunteer to help out with swim meets. Trust me, it's not tough, and these first couple meets, it won't last very long at all. Once we get into live meets in Week 3, things get a little trickier. But till then, we rehearse.
Here's what I need from you: first, go to the following spreadsheet and note what jobs you prefer (job descriptions below) and, if applicable, when you'll be out. First come, first served, and no, you can't be DJ. This is my last year doing that, and I'm holding onto the mic.
Input your Volunteer Info here:

Next, go to the following link for WEEK 1 and, if you wish, sign up for a job:

Here are some specific needs:
-I need a Volunteer Coordinator. This is the person who will be responsible for making sure all volunteer slots are filled, all volunteers are in their right places, and all volunteers have what they need (i.e. stopwatches, clipboards, etc.)
-I also need Deck Manager(s), who is responsible for making sure everything's running smoothly during the meets themselves.
In broad terms, the coordinator works before the meet, the manager works during the meet. Ideally these are jobs better suited for parent with older kids, since you'll be on the move.
-We will need Timers/Recorders for our first two virtual meets. You'll time the swimmer in your lane and record that time on the sheet.
-We'll need a Runner to take the sheets up to the computer in the clubhouse.
-We'll need Bullpen help to make sure the younger swimmers get to the blocks on time. This will be more important during live meets, but we'll get some practice in these first two meets.
That should cover it right now. Go ahead and jump on volunteering right now so I don't have to come getcha and assign you toilet cleaning duty.* See you at the pool!
-Jay
*-Maybe I'm kidding, but do you really want to chance it?
