Help us grow the Woodfield Waves!

Hello Woodfield Waves families! Hope you're getting as excited about the start of the year as we are. Coaches and volunteers are already hard at work getting everything ready to go for our first practice (May 16) and first meet (June 2).

We have a request for you. As you remember, COVID did a real number on our team's operations. (At last, no more virtual meets!) It also cut our roster in half -- we had about 100 swimmers in 2018 and 2019, and since the pandemic, we've been hovering around 50.

We know those swimmers are still out there, and we'd like your help to bring them back, or bring in new teammates. Word of mouth is the best way to get people to sign up, so we're asking you to reach out to your friends and your swimmers' friends and see if they would be interested in joining up this season. Many of you already know how much fun swim team is for the swimmers; let's see if we can bring some new faces in the gates!

    A few notes:

-We're strongly increasing our emphasis on learning to swim -- teaching little kids to swim so that their parents can feel safer at the pool, and teaching older kids proper stroke technique to build the lifelong love of swimming.

-We can accommodate swimmers who have 9am camps -- our first practice session starts at 8am, and swimmers of all ages can participate in that one. They'll be out of the pool with more than enough time to get to East Roswell or other nearby camps.

-To give you a little incentive: everyone that brings in a new family gets a week off from meet volunteering. Bring in two families, get two nights off. Bring in five, and you can kick back the whole season!

If you have questions, please don't hesitate to reply to this email or contact us at [email protected]. We're looking forward to seeing all of you at the pool very soon!
