Hello Woodfield families! Hope everyone's ready for Week 2 of the season. A few notes as we roll forward:

-We practice in the rain ... up to a point. If the coaches can't see the bottom of the pool because of heavy rains, or if the coaches determine it's too cold to keep practicing, we'll call practice for the day. (Obviously, if there's lightning, no practice.) At the moment, practice is ON for today. Keep an eye on your email, though, as that could change later today. 

-Remember: NO PRACTICE THURSDAY. That's the last day of school, and Woodfield will be having its annual ice cream social/pool opening that day. 

-Morning practices begin FRIDAY and will go on the following schedule:

• 8:00am – 8:45am 7 & 8s and 9 & 10s
• 9:00am – 9:30am 6 & Under (Lessons)
• 9:30-9:45am – Break for cleanup, swimmer switchover, etc.
• 9:45am – 10:45am 11 & Up

IMPORTANT: We will be doing a "mock meet" this Friday to get swimmers' times in their events (and also to test out the new meet management software that just arrived this year). Parents, you are welcome to come stay for the meet -- if this is your first year with us, this would be an excellent time to observe how the meets run, and get questions answered about volunteer responsibilities. Coaches will be timing the swimmers, but will be happy to show you how to do it. 

-Finally, NO PRACTICE MONDAY for Memorial Day. Our first meet is NEXT Thursday, June 2.
