Hey Woody Waves!

Great job on a great meet! Woodfield Waves have another win! Thank you to all the volunteers who made the meet possible. It was a much smoother event than the week before and the weather even let us swim! All around, a successful swim evening!

Believe it or not, it’s already time to be talking about the ASA Championship Meet and getting registered to participate down at Georgia Tech on Friday June 28th in the 4pm Session. The registration fee this year is $48.

For those new swim families or just new to considering the county meet. This event is always a lot of fun. Swimmers register and work with the coaches to pick their individual events (2) and up to 2 relays (if we take enough swimmers). The fee is passed through directly to ASA for the costs of running the meet. The team will meet together and the kids get the opportunity to swim in the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center and see their name up on the big screen. They have gotten really efficient at this end of season meet and we are usually out within 3-3.5 hours even with a lot of kids swimming. It’s a huge meet and just a wonderful way to end the season and jump into July.

If you have more questions about the meet, don’t hesitate to ask! We have had a growing group of kids attend in recent years and would love to continue to grow the group of swimmers. Maybe we can even get some relays in again this year!
