Final Countdown - Last week of Summer Swim
The final meet of the season is upon us. The final countdown of summer swim is on and this week comes fast and furious.
First up, we have a meet on tomorrow (Tuesday) night with Martin’s Landing at home. Swimmer’s arrival should be no later than 4:15 with warm up beginning at 4:30. Full meet email to follow. I know Stacey is still looking for a few volunteers as well!
Second, we have the banquet on Wednesday night from 6-8pm.
- If you haven’t already RSVP’d please login and do that to help us have a count.
- This year’s banquet will be simplified. We will serve Pizza and have an Ice Cream Sundae bar. As always, feel free to bring your own or supplement to meet your dietary needs.
- Awards and free swim will happen as usual. Pack a towel, goggles, swimsuit, etc and plan to enjoy the evening.
- If you don’t mind helping out, there is a sign up genius linked below to sign up to bring just a few things. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F0E44A5AF23A1FD0-50144093-endofseason#/
Thursday there will be a brief practice for those swimmers participating in the Championship meet at GA Tech on Friday.
Friday, we have 16 swimmers (and 3 additional coaches) heading down to GA Tech to participate in our ASA Championship event. Wish them luck and feel free to come cheer them on OR watch the livestream to see your Waves friends swim. https://www.youtube.com/@atlswim/streams
A few other notes with the abbreviated week.
- Ripples will only have lessons on Monday and Tuesday this week.
- Evening practices will only take place on Monday this week
- There will be no fun Wednesday morning, instead join us for the banquet Wednesday evening to grab ribbons, awards, and free swim.
One last note, Fall season is on the way. Meet dates for that season will be Saturdays beginning August 17th and concluding September 14th. We are waiting for ASA to have updated waivers and such for registration, but once it opens, we will be offering a coupon code for our current swim families. Stay Tuned for more information about this as we wrap up the summer season.
