    Meet tomorrow

Our meet tomorrow is at Glastonberry (3550 Pairpoint Place, Johns Creek 30022).  Please arrive by 4:30.  If your child cannot swim at the last minute, text me and Grayson as soon as you know.  (Grayson 678-764-2266 and Sara 678-910-9931).

I have attached the volunteer schedule for Wednesday’s meet.  Please check it as it has changed since last week.

I know the weather has been bad and is not looking good for the rest of the week.  Please know that both teams have two goals in mind when deciding what to do about a meet in questionable weather.  Number one, we want everyone to be safe.  Number two, we want the kids to swim!  Thank you for your support in whatever decision is made by our team and the team we are swimming.  That being said, I am planning to talk to the parent rep and coach for Glastonberry around 3:00 tomorrow to take a look at the forecast for the evening.  We will do our best to make a good decision about the meet and I will email everyone by 3:30 to let you know what we decide.  If you are concerned or have questions, feel free to text me (678-910-9931).

In looking ahead to our home meet versus Nesbit Lakes on Thursday, we decided with their coaches and parent rep to move the start time up to 5:00 (thirty minutes early) in hopes of getting more events in.  Our normal arrival time for home meets is 4:15, but we are going to ask everyone that can to arrive at 4:00.  This will allow both teams to do a warm up and for us to start at 5:00.  If you do not think your child can arrive by 5:00 on Thursday, please let me know.

In keeping with our optimistic theme, we are very excited to have Tex’s Tacos food truck at our meet on Thursday.  Check out the menu here: http://texstacos.com/menu/.  Yum!  Looks delicious!  Thank you Amy McSpadden for arranging this for us!

Each season we like to give all of our coaches a bonus for their hard work.  If you would like to contribute to their bonuses, you can give your donation to me or Christy Hebenstreit.  Most families donate between $10 and $20, but any amount you see fit is appreciated. The money collected will be divided among all of the coaches.

You should have received a Punchbowl invitation via email to our end of the season party on Monday, June 26 from 6:00-8:00 PM.  Please RSVP by Thursday so we can order the fried chicken. The team will provide fried chicken, dessert and water.  Please sign up to bring a side dish OR to help set up, serve or clean up.  Thank you to Heather Blank for sending the invitation and organizing the party.  Please see Dhari Rohrer if you would like to participate in the parent vs. child (vs. coaches?) relay during the party.  If you did not receive the invitation, please let me know.

Congratulations to last weeks Waves of the Week!  Pia Gricus and Holden Rohrer were chosen by the coaches on Friday for this honor.  Both were chosen for their hard work and dedication during practice.  We are very proud of you Pia and Holden!

Lastly, I have two large, white Woody Waves t-shirts left if anyone would like them.  They are $10 each.  Let me know if you would like one and I can bring it to practice or the meet.

As always, let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
