We have an exciting last two weeks of swim team ahead of us! 

We have two meets this week.  We will swim at Glastonberry on Wednesday and we have a home meet against Nesbit Lakes on Thursday.  Please double check the lists below of children who cannot swim and let Grayson and I know right away if there is a problem ([email protected] and [email protected]).  Grayson will need to get both line ups created on Monday and Tuesday, so please let us know now if there is a mistake!  If you told us earlier in the year that your kids could not swim on the 22nd, I did not automatically assume that meant they could not swim on the 21st.  Please carefully check this list and make sure we have the correct information.  Thank you!

This Tuesday, June 20 at 8:00 PM, is the deadline to register your child for the ASA Divisional Meet at Georgia Tech.  You must email Debbie Markland ([email protected]) by 8:00 PM on Tuesday to tell her the two events your child would like to swim.  If we have enough kids in an age group to swim relays, we will also enter them in two relays.  The ASA meet is Friday, June 30 and the finals are July 1.  The cost of the event is $20 and that can be paid by Friday, June 23.  Please pay by cash or check (made out to Woodfield Waves), put it in an envelope with your child’s name and give it to Coach Jake or Coach Emma this week.

Each season we like to give all of our coaches a bonus for their hard work.  If you would like to contribute to their bonuses, you can give your donation to myself or Christy Hebenstreit.  Most families donate between $10 and $20, but any amount you see fit is appreciated. The money collected will be divided among all of the coaches.

You should have received a Punchbowl invitation via email to our end of the season party on Monday, June 26 from 6:00-8:00 PM.  Please RSVP! The team will provide fried chicken, dessert and water.  Please sign up to bring a side dish OR to help set up, serve or clean up.  Thank you to Heather Blank for sending the invitation and organizing the party.  Please see Dhari Rohrer if you would like to participate in the parent vs. child (vs. coaches?) relay during the party.  If you did not receive the invitation, please let me know.
