Just a reminder there is no practice today, Thursday, May 25 due to the Woodfield Last Day of School Pool Party.  We will begin our morning practices tomorrow, Friday, May 26 and will have morning practices for the rest of the season, except there will be no practice Monday, for Memorial Day.  The times and dates for each age group are all on the website under “practice times.”

If your child is going to miss any meets this season, June 1, 8, 15, 22 or 27, please email me and Coach Grayson as soon as you know!!  This is very important and makes Grayson's life a lot easier if he knows ahead of time.  ([email protected] and [email protected])

Does anyone know someone who does embroidery?  We will have between 15-20 towels to embroider this season and the person who has done it for years lives pretty far from here.  I’d love to find someone locally who could do it.  I have a lead on one place, but thought I would ask all of you, too.

Our end of season pool party will be Monday, June 26 from 5:30-7:30 PM.  The team will provide fried chicken and dessert and each family brings a dish to share.  The whole family is invited to enjoy some fun in the pool, eat some dinner and celebrate the (near) end of a great season.  Will the parent child relays return??  Heather Blank has agreed to help coordinate the party (again, because she is awesome), but she needs 2-3 people to help with setting up, cleaning up and picking up items for the party.  Please let her know if you can help ([email protected]).

I’m still looking for someone to step into my role next season.  I’m really not joking that this is my last season.  :)  I have been brainstorming ways that the role can be broken down so there is a committee of people in charge.  Some of the roles could be: Coach Coordinator (this person would be the main point of contact for coaches and practices), Volunteer Coordinator (this person would schedule volunteers for meets and other things such as t-shirts, registration day, end of year party, etc), Website/Communication Coordinator (this person would keep website updated and send emails to the team) and Meet Coordinator.  These are my initial ideas.  I am really brainstorming to try and find a way to make this role less daunting.  Please give it some thought, talk with some other people and let’s get this figured out sooner rather than later!
