Hello Woodfield Waves Families,

Schedule change:  Due to conflicts with our coaches, we will have to cancel the 6 & under swim lessons on Friday of this week, May 19.  The 6 & under swim team kids, who have been working with Coach Grayson on the far side of the pool will still have practice.  Only the true lessons are canceled.  I apologize for the inconvenience.  The majority of our coaches are still in school, two are graduating seniors, some are finishing up other sports and school commitments and we will not have enough coaches on Friday to run the lessons.  If you are not sure if this affects your child, please ask me.  Thank you for understanding.

It has been great seeing so many of you at the pool already this week.  Thank you for being patient these first few days as all of the kids and coaches get back into the groove.  We are taking things slowly, particularly with the 6 & under age group, and we appreciate you understanding that we are using this time to assess the kids’ abilities, figure out which coaches are needed where based on the number of kids we have in each group and most importantly, to keep everyone safe! 

Speaking of SAFETY, this is my number one priority for our team.  I ask that all of you help in this area.  I know the kids are excited to be at the pool with their friends and that it is very hot outside, but we need kids that are not having their instructional time to be completely out of the big pool.  Please understand this is to keep everyone safe and to prevent an accident.  We can allow 6 & unders to be in the baby pool with direct parent supervision (meaning you are standing right next to the pool), but other than that, we need to keep the kids out of the big pool when it is not their time to swim.  Thank you for understanding and for supervising your children.
