Happy New Year Woodfield Waves Families!

If your family is like mine, plans and possibilities for summer fun are beginning to be discussed.  I hope that joining the Woodfield Waves will again be a part of your summer.  I am writing to share a few updates and announcements.

Coach Grayson will be returning as our head coach in 2017 and we are so happy to have him back!  I will be reaching out to our other fabulous coaches from last summer in the coming weeks to discuss their plans, as well.

This is a great time of year to tell your friends and neighbors about summer swim team.  Spread the word via Facebook, Next Door Neighbor, email and text! Please let them know about the dates below and remember we welcome swimmers from all surrounding neighborhoods. 

Online registration will begin at the end of March and we will again have an in-person registration and suit fitting day in mid-April.

Practice will most likely begin on Monday, May 15.  We will have afternoon practices until school finishes.  There is no plan to change the age group practice times from last summer.  The times can be found on our website: www.woodfieldwaves.com.  The dates have not been updated, but this will at least give you an idea of the times.  This is also great information to share with potential new families so they can keep the times in mind when it comes to planning camps and other activities in June.

The dates of our 2017 meets will be June 1, 8, 15, 22 and 27.  The ASA Divisional Meet (which is optional) will be June 29 and the ASA Finals will be July 1. All I know now is the dates.  I won’t know who we swim against or which meets are home or away until much later in the spring.
