Our first fall league meet was a success and we are onto the second meet. Coach Anna will have the ribbons from Saturday today at practice. 

This week’s meet is at Twin Lakes at 9am. This is a 6 lane pool with depth that allows diving at both ends.

Location:

The pool is located at 2841 Briarlake Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30345

Warm-up:

We will be warming up in the last group so 8:35-8:55 in lanes 1-3 (so we gained an extra lane from last week). 

Arrival:

Based on lessons learned last week, let’s plan to have all swimmers there by 8:10 at the latest, giving us 25 minutes before warm up. Please plan to give yourself extra time to park and whatnot. Bring your chairs.

Volunteers:

This week, we are being asked to provide 2 timers. I have added them as a sign up job in Swimtopia and hope we can get some volunteers. Twin Lakes does not use a ready area like we had last week, so we may need 2 bullpen parents to check we get all swimmers to the blocks 2-3 events before their event is called.

Parking and Concessions:

We should have more information on parking and concessions later this week and I will be sure to let you know. I did hear the Twin Lakes rep mentioning to Franke that they were going to get the numbers from Hampton Hall and increase their order so that they wouldn’t run out of concessions.

Declare and select: 

Please declare your availability for this weekend’s meet and put in your meet requests. Swimtopia has not given us a way to increase the number that you can select for your swimmer so please put additional events in the notes to the coach section and we will be sure to get them entered on the back end. We need these by Thursday at the very latest so coach Anna can have everything ready in time for the lineup swap.
