Meet 1 Information
Can you believe it is already time for the First Swim Meet of the 2025 season?
Location:
This one is a HOME MEET! Yay!
Parking:
Keep in mind that parking is always at a premium at swim meets (everywhere). If you live close enough to walk, it might be to your advantage or consider carpooling. We will ask that when parking on the street, you park on only one side of the street and obey any no parking signs that are placed. We will be putting concessions in the parking lot again this year - it worked so well last year - so there will be a rope up and any spot on the other side of that rope should only be cars that will be there for the duration of the meet (no leaving early). This will help keep this area safer for all waiting for concessions. Watch for the roped off area when parking.
Concessions:
Kristin Pereyra & Manndi Iovino are chairing our concession stand again this year! Thank You Ladies! They have a great lineup planned including pulled chicken, pizza, noodles, assorted snacks, drinks, candy, etc. We will once again accept cash or card/tap.
Schedule:
3:45 - Coaches, Junior Coaches, and set-up volunteers arrive
4:15 - All Swimmers arrive ready (come earlier if you need marked, etc)
4:30 - Woodfield Warm-up
4:45 - Woodfield Volunteer Check-in (if not already)
5:15 - Timers, recorders, judges, ref, coaches meeting
5:30 - Meet Start
*all swimmers should Check in with a coach on their way in. 10 and under swimmers, check in with your bullpen parent as well.
Volunteers:
As all of our returning families know, swim meets are very much all hands on deck. If you have not already signed up for a volunteer slot, you may get assigned to an empty one. Watch for an email from Melissa Holman, our volunteer coordinator, with a final volunteer assignment sheet. Be sure to check-in at the swim meet for your volunteer shift.
Theme:
This week’s theme is Woodfield Spirit or Red Out. Plan to wear your Woodfield spirit wear (current or past years) or any red swag to show our team spirit!
Weather:
At this moment, we cannot predict what the weather will do. Stay tuned. Make sure you check email and app notifications as these are the two best methods to reach the masses if things change.
