Last night was not only wet but stormy. We appreciate everyone’s efforts to try to have a meet - until the thunder. We appreciate all the effort in a safe and quick breakdown and the clean up that happened this morning. And finally, a big thank you to our very busy concessions crew last night. Our rain delay definitely kept them busy.

Top question of the day is some variation of do we have a make up date… Well, after consulting our ASA rules and other local teams, we have opted (as have the vast majority of other teams) in a weather tie. This means both teams are credited with a win and 200 points each.

We officially have a winning season regardless of what happens the next 2 meets! Congratulations Woodfield Waves!!

Now, I need 3 things from you all:

1. I need you to go on and declare your swimmers for both meet 4 and 5. I know 5 feels a long way away, but it’s such a fast turn around from 4 to 5, we need to know the swimmers who are available. We can always edit requests and notes later, but we at least need attendance.
2. Mark your calendar for Monday June 16th. We will be having our second (and final) spirit night of the season at Chick-fil-a at Rivermont from 5-7pm. Be sure to tell them you’re there for the waves! You can even do a mobile order with code WAVES. Or come inside, have some ice cream and enjoy some dry time with your teammates.
3. If you’re planning to attend GA Tech, we need to know. Please go on the swimtopia site and register your swimmer(s). Those lineups are due mid week as well. We need registration fees and entry information. If you have questions about this meet, please ask. It’s always a fun event.
