We sent out a brief email when we opened registration, but now it's time to share all the information we have for the summer 2026 Woodfield Waves Season! The weather is warming up and we are all ready for summer swim season!

Registration: 

Registration is open! So if you haven’t registered and know you want to swim, head on over to Swimtopia and register! Also, Swimtopia has done some updates, so don’t be alarmed with a new login screen and it may ask you to update your password when you login to register. 

Coaches:

We are excited to have the 2025 recipient of Thomas Benefield Coach of the Year Award, Anna Almstedt will be returning as our head coach for the summer 2026 season!

Under our head coach’s direction we will have Avery, Tristan, and Sklyar as our coaches and some junior coaches as well. Those announcements are coming shortly.

Fees:

While everything else in the world is increasing in costs, we have been able to keep the Woodfield registration fee the same for this year. There has been a slight increase to the ASA fees. As many will recall, over the last 2 years, ASA has updated their policies and our non-competitive swimmers (aka Ripples) also pay ASA fees since ASA covers our liability insurance, coaches insurance, etc. While they don’t participate in meets, they still impact those other costs and the fees end up the same.

Dates:

We will have our meet schedule in early April as usual, but dates that we know so far.

May 11th - First Dive (this is still being solidified with the pool maintenance company getting the pool open in time, but it looks like it will be May 11th).

May 28th - First Meet

Meets continue on Thursdays until our Tuesday meet on June 23rd. GA Tech will likely be June 26th.

Team Suits:

We have elected for a new team suit this year. We have stayed in the same color scheme so if you have the prior one and it fits, no reason to change, but as always we like to have a united option. We are once again using Swim Outlet which will ship directly to you.

In selecting the new suit, we took the feedback about smaller sizes and different fit options as far as we can. Our new suit comes in both jammers and briefs for boys and men's sizes. For the girls/women, there is a little girl full back style, a thick strap style for girls and women’s sizes, and the same back style we have had in the prior suit in girls and women’s sizes so lots of options.
