2026 Woodfield Waves
Welcome to the 2026 Summer Season! We are approaching our true kick off for the season and wanted to send some updates. This will be your long email and you may want to reference. Apologies in advance.
Registration:
We are small but mighty again this year. In fact, smaller than we have been so keep recruiting some friends to join us, it isn’t too late! We are still adding swimmers in all age groups! Invite your friends to come spend their June with Woodfield Waves! All are welcome!
First Dive:
As of today, the intention is to have our first dive on Monday May 11th. We had originally hoped for earlier, but alas with the weather and the pool company, we are on with the 11th. This is a fun kick-off to the season where the swimmers meet the coaches, have some fun, and we kick off the season usually with a treat (weather permitting). We will also have the fit kit if anyone needs to try on suits to order their team suit. Come before your practice time if possible.
Times for May 11th:
6& Under and Ripples - 4:45-5:15pm
7 and up - 5:15-6:00
Swimsuit Fitting:
We have done this pre-season in the past, but schedules were tough this spring so we will have the swimsuit measurement guides and fit kits at First Dive (and probably a few other days of practice). If your swimmer(s) need to try on suit(s). Stop by before they get in the water and try them on!
Team Suits:
We have changed up the pattern of the team suit this year, but as always they are optional. If your suit from prior seasons still fit, we stuck with red and black so that it would continue to blend as well. We are using SwimOutlet again. They have very competitive pricing and quick shipping as well as a variety of sizes. This year’s suit has an additional style for girls as well as comes in youth sizes as well to help fit the needs of more of our swimmers.

Swim Outlet+:
While we are on the topic of swim suits and Swim Outlet. As a benefit of being on our team and our team’s partnership with SwimOutlet, each family on the roster gets a free SwimOutlet+ membership for a year. Our roster is in processing right now so you may get an email from SwimOutlet tomorrow to claim your free year of SwimOutlet+. Keep an eye out for that email.
After-School Practice Schedule:
From Tuesday (May 12th) - Wednesday (May 20th), we follow the After-School practice schedule below. There is no practice on Thursday May 21st as the neighborhood hosts an event for the last day of school.
4:45pm – 5:15pm 6 & Under Swimmers and Ripples
5:15pm - 6:00pm 7 & 8s and 9 & 10s
6:00pm – 6:45pm 11 & Up
Morning Practice Schedule:
We begin morning practices on Friday May 22nd. We will not practice on Memorial Day. If you are looking for evening practices due to camp or work, please be sure to email [email protected] or reply to this email to get on the afternoon/evening list.
Morning Schedule:
8:00am – 8:45am 7 & 8s and 9 & 10s
8:50am – 9:20am 6 & Under & Ripples
9:30am – 10:30am 11 & Up
Evening Practice Option:
We are once again offering an evening practice option. This is ideal for those swimmers who have camps and such or those parents who are balancing work schedules. This does require that your swimmer can safely and confidently swim the length of the pool. No ripples for evening practices. We must know how many swimmers are taking advantage of this option to ensure we maintain proper ratios for safety for all swimmers. Please email [email protected] or reply to this email to request evening practices. Once we have an approximate number, we will determine if we need to break into 2 practice times or have one larger group. Get those requests in early so we can accommodate you if you need it!
Swim Meets:
This year we have 3 away meets and 2 home meets. One of our home meets will be a tri-meet. Those that have been with us for a few years will be familiar with this as we have hosted one before as well as our fall league multi-team meet. For all meets, we need parents to help us out. Watch out for another email coming soon from our Volunteer Coordinator - Melissa Holman with more information about volunteer needs for each meet! It goes back to our small but mighty comment, we really do need all the hands we can get to make these meets run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. Thank you in advance for your support this season!
May 28th: Away @ Mayfair
June 4th: Away @ CCR
June 11th: Home vs Chartwell
June 18th: Tri-Meet @ Home vs Spring Ridge & Brookfield CC
June 23rd (Tuesday): Away @ Nesbit Lakes
June 26th: Tentative session for Championships @ GT
Swimmer declarations are already open. If you know that you will be traveling for a meet, go ahead and mark that you’re unavailable now so we don’t have to track you down right before your vacation.
Spirit Night:
Also, we are announcing our season kick-off spirit night at Whit's Frozen Custard right up the road on May 12th. Come by before or after your practice.
I will be sending more frequent communication as we approach the start of the season, but I wanted to get the bulk of this information into everyone's hands and ready to start the season! Let's go WAVES!!
